American CAT$: We've Been RUG-Burned |
|
It all started when I first got my paws on a London souvinir brochure. I looked at it, then looked at the picture programs I had from Broadway, the First Tour, and the Fourth Tour. Something was up here, and only two thoughts occured to me about this: either a lot less money was given to the American productions for things such as this, or a lot less effort had been put into it. The London brochures have more photos, are of much better quality, and change more often to keep up with the changing casts. The Broadway, First, and Fourth Tour programs have less pages, the photos are not as half as clear, and haven't changed since the original casts. Some of the photos are even in the wrong booklet! |

The Broadway cast is smaller than the London cast, and the Fourth Tour was even smaller than that. |

Most of the t-shirts I've seen from New York have either green or 'deformed' eye logos, while the two London shirts I have are perfect. |

And how could we forget? It was the CATS production on Broadway that closed. |
